About

Precious writes: "My father was a driver but now deceased after he was involved in a fatal accident. This happened when I was 11 years old and in primary four, diverting all educational responsibilities to my mother who at the time only supported my father in his farm. She therefore could not afford to take care of my education and that of my siblings at the same time. Hence my grandparents whom I have been staying with since I was five years old opted to help pay for my education and that of one of my three siblings. The other two are with my mother. My grandfather is a peasant farmer who cultivates just what is enough to feed the home. This coupled with the fact that they have two other children to educate, makes it challenging for them to sustainably support my education. I am a determined young girl who believes that educating me is the greatest service I could ever do to myself, my community and my nation because I firmly believe in the saying...if..you educate a woman, you educate a nation. I therefore appeal to well wishers who believe in the girl child to assist me to pursue higher education to the university level and above to be able to achieve my goal of becoming a nurse in the near future. "
