About

Shadrack writes: "I presently live with my mother and stepfather because my biological father abandoned me and my mother when I was only 6 weeks old. Because of that my mother who is a trader has since paid for my education alone. When I turned 10 years old, my mother married again but my stepfather does not pay for my education because I am not his son. My mother doing this as a single parent in disguise without any good and sustainable source of income constrains the family and threatens the possibility of my being able to complete the Senior High School and further to the University to be able to achieve my dream of becoming a lawyer. I therefore appeal to any person or institution to help complement the strong but inadequate effort of my mother and serve as a beacon of hope for me to attain higher education as I aspire to be a lawyer in the future. In the midst of this, I remain committed to my education because I know it is the only way to redeem myself, my family and my village in the future from economic and social poverty."

Hi Shadrack
How's school?
hello chinezi,i wrote my promotional exams, passed and have been promoted to form 3(third year). Please I will be glad to see you in okurase, please when are you visiting?

Hi folks and the school fund! It’s been a while since I journalled. I am back and very happy with a very good news.
I hope my friends are feeling as I am. I am so glad my school been paid by the school fund through project OKURASE even before school re-openes.
In the past, if school is on vacation, I had to help my mother to trade and at times help my stepfather in the carpentry shop and also work as a labourer in the construction site to get money to pay my school fees.
As a result, I feel tired and so find it difficult to study my books and also make my research.
During this vacation I have got enough time to study my books and also get enough time to do my research.
Atleast now I am sure I will not face anymore harassment from my teachers and mockery from friends for not paying my fees on time.
I am psychologically free to benefit from lessons thought in class.
I thank all my sympathizers who assisted me in making my dreams come true.
