About

Desline is the fourth born in a family of seven. All of her three elder siblings dropped out of school due to lack of school fees. The same fate may befall Desline if no intervention is reached. She performed very well at her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education but had to join a day school due to the prohibitive nature of school fees in the provincial high schools. Keeping Desline in school means one less girl dropping out of school in Kibera slums and a bright future secured for her because high school is only her pathway to the university.

My letter to TSF.
Jessica,

School was awesome. I hope to have an even better experience this year. I am finishing my high school this year and it is the best feeling ever. I will give it my all.

Crack the glass,
And the crack
Will always remain.
The human heart
Has the same vein;
It's just as delicate
To the strain.

Once it is hurt,
It is too hard
To fade the stain.
Though parts can
Fix together –
You've just to touch the wound,
To make it drain again.

by Sheikha A. El-Miskery

That is my favorite poem. I love Literature and more specifically poems.
