About

Alex is a very active boy in class and sports. He is the third born in a family of six children. He joined Miondoni Mixed Day secondary School in the middle of 2011, thanks to the teachers who rescued him from herding cattle. After completing primary school, Alex could not proceed to high school due to lack of school fees. His single mother passed away in 2008 leaving the children under the care of their old grant parents. The family has been relying on donations from well-wishers for their upkeep. Alex is very grateful to the teachers for taking him back to school. He is in big arrears of school fees. His determination has kept him as the top scorer in his class. He sees education as the only hope of rescuing his family from abject poverty.

Hello Jaclyn,

It is my hope that you are fine. Back, I am doing well in my studies. I am working extra hard for better results come my final examination in secondary school at the end of this year. I hope you are as well working hard in your studies at the Brown university?

Last month we hosted some friends from your country at the Kenya Connect L.R.C. What an educative experience. I really thank you for your tireless efforts to open for me doors to a bright future.

Thank you.

Regards,

Alex
