About

Caroline is the first-born child in a family of five. Before joining St. Pius Kaitha secondary school she was in Kaitha primary school were she performed very well. She is well behaved and focused in her education. Her father works as a watchman in the school and from his meager earnings he pays for school fees for Caroline and her sister who is in the same school and also provides for the family daily needs. The burden of paying school fees for the two daughters is overwhelming for him and most times they are sent home for school fees. Nevertheless, Caroline is determined to achieve her dream. To her education is the only hope of breaking the vicious circle of poverty.

Hi Mutanu, hope you are fine together with your family since we met. We are resuming back to school and I am fully working hard determining to excel. I am using revision materials to help me to get better grades. After school I would like to visit your place the way you do visit Kenya and I will be very happy. During midbreak I will be able to share more with you.

I thank you so much for paying my school fees may God bless you and wishing you all the best. Pass my warm regards to your family.

Caroline---

So glad to hear you were able to read over break and that you are starting your second term. I am sure you will be happy to see your friends. It is spring here in Maryland and all the trees and flowers are blooming. It's very pretty and very green. Yesterday my husband planted a garden with beetroot, peppers, and carrots. We will probably plant tomatoes too. I was at Arundel Secondary School last week and they did a special field day as a fundraiser for Kenya Connect. It was a fun day. Thanks for writing and good luck with the second term! Your friend, Mutanu
