Muema Muasa is the fifth born child in a family of six children. Before joining Kilembwa Secondary School he was in Miini primary school where he scored exemplary well in his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and received an admission in a boarding school but his mother could not afford the fees. His single mother earns a living through doing casual jobs like cutting grass. He has two brothers in the same school who have been receiving some support from their uncle. The burden of paying school fees is now overwhelming for the uncle who also has his family to take care.

For Muema, education is the only key to a bright future.
