Hi Christi
I am happy to hear from you. Am well and hope you are doing well too. We do grow crops like maize, beans, cowpeas and also fruit trees like mangoes, oranges and pawpaw. Avocados do not do well in our area because the climate is hot.

In school I am focused this term to achieve great.

All the best
Fridah
Hi Fridah,
It's nice to hear that you help you mother in the garden. What kind of crops do you grow? I am trying to grow avocado trees in my house right now. Have you ever tried an avocado? It is a slow process, but it is fun to watch them grow!

All the best,
Christi
Hi Jessica,

Hope all is well with you. I am fine and doing well with my studies. currently we have closed our school for April holiday and we will be back on 7th May. Last term was full of activities like ball games and athletics. We also did our end of term exam where i managed to score well. I am still working hard to achieve my dream. During the break i will be helping my mother to weed for the crops. Wishing you all the best

Fridah
Hey Jessica,
Hope you are well and doing well in your studies. My holiday was nice and i enjoyed it so much. I helped my parent in house hold chores and also harvesting our crops. We had a long mid term break because our country had general elections. We will be back to school on 11th.

In school i am taking biology, history chemistry, mathematics, English and Christian religious education.

Hoping to hear from you.
Fridah
Hi Fridah,

Sorry it took me so long to respond! I hope your end of the year exams went well- we also had ours recently but we won't know our final grades until the new year. Which classes are you taking? I'm curious to know if we are taking/have taken similar classes!

-Jessica
Hi Jessica

I am happy to hear again from you. You are truly a wonderful friend. We have completed our end of year exams and we are eagerly waiting for the results. Schools will officially close on 23rd this month but our school might close earlier. I am wishing you all the best as you study for your first semester.

Its good to take care of the environment. Keep it up. My interests include singing in church and playing games.

Best wishes
Fridah
Hi Fridah,

Thanks for replying! My school is pretty close to where I live, but I don't walk to school. I carpool with my best friend and my parents drop us off on their way to work. I hope you're enjoying high school so far! Our school year doesn't end until May but we do have our first semester finals in December so I guess I'll be studying along with you!

My hobbies include dancing ballet and volunteering with the environment. I'm really passionate about helping causes such as climate change and global warming! What are your interests?

-Jessica
Hi Jessica,

Its so wonderful to hear and learn from a friend far away. Although we are living in different parts of the world i know we have so much in common. I am currently in grade 9 in High School and we call it Form 1. In school i love to play football and netball.

Our school is a day school and we walk to and from school. Is your school far from where you live? Do you walk to school?

Our school year is almost coming to an end and we are currently sitting for end of year exams that will promote us to the next class.

Wishing you all the best in your studies.
Fridah
Dear Fridah,

My name is Jessica and I am a student at Palo Alto High School, California in the United States. I am the Co-President of the Foreign Friends Club at my school, which is a pen pal club in which we correspond with students from other countries. I would love to get to know you and what your life is like! I'm sure that the United States is very different from Kenya- what kinds of things do you like to do? What's your daily routine like?

I hope to hear from you soon!

-Jessica
Hi Christi,

Thank you so much for your concern on my education. The teacher’s strike will not have a major impact in our studies since the government added the three lost weeks and therefore schools closing date was moved to end of November. We are about to receive rains and people are busy preparing their farms. How is the climate in your place?

I am working tirelessly towards achieving my goals.

Wishing all the best.

Fridah
Hi Fridah,
I'm happy to hear that you are all now back in school! How will the teacher's strike affect the school year or examinations? I hope that it will not make things too different.

I hope that you are able to do well in school! Please keep me updated on your progress.

All the best,
Christi
Hi Drew
Great to hear that you enjoyed your visit to our country! You are most welcome again. My August Holiday was fine and I enjoyed helping my mother with household chores. Although the holiday was prolonged by a teachers strike, we are now back to school. I am working extra hard to improve my performance.

Best wishes,

Fridah
Hi Fridah,

I hope you have a nice August holiday! I really enjoyed my visit to Kenya - it is such a beautiful country and I loved seeing the animals and the scenery and talking to all the friendly people.

Have a great holiday!
Drew
Hi Drew,

Hope you have been fine. I am doing well together with my family. We have closed school for august holiday. The second term was busy but we managed to complete smoothly. We sat for our end of term exams and I was able to score 615 marks out of 1100 marks. At home I am working hard and revising my notes in order to achieve my goals. I am also helping my mother with household chores like cooking and doing the dishes.

I am wishing you all the best in your daily activities.

Fridah.
Hi Drew,

Thanks for updating me on your trip. Its so exciting to see so many animals. I have never seen them but I hope to visit the national parks in future. Wishing you all the best in your trip.

Fridah.
