Student Bio
I am 23 years and currently in my first year at the high school studying general arts. I reside with my mum, a trader who is physically impaired, specifically blind. I help her to manage her small trading shop out of which she paid for my education from Primary through to the Junior High level. Considering her condition this obviously is a major challenge. My father on the other hand has since my childhood been an absentee father who comes around once in a while with nothing to support my mother. It is usually very difficult to tell his whereabouts at a given time. For instance, at the time of this writing no one is able to tell where he lives. For these reasons amongst others, I completed my Jr Hi Basic Education Certificate Examination in 2006 but could not further my education until late 2011 because my blind mother could no longer support my education at the Senior High level. Now that I have enrolled into the Senior High School, I am appealing to anyone or institution to consider my plight and assist me to pursue my education to the Tertiary level. I ask this favor bcause I am of the view that education is the backbone of every society. I therefore want to pursue my educational career to become a proessional Sport Journalist to get a good job in the future to take care of my blind mother and other blind folks like her.
