About

Nohemi is from Mendosayoc, an extremely remote community that is approximately a three-day trip from Cusco, on the border of the Andes and the Amazon. There is no high school in Mendosayoc, so Nohemi left her community at age 12 and moved to Calca, where she completed her secondary education. Now, because of Mosqoy’s support, she will be studying at a post-secondary institute in Cusco. Nohemi hopes to return to her hometown once she graduates and support her community and family. Nohemi is a strong advocate for gender equality and the empowerment of women in education. She feels lucky that her family supported her to pursue her studies, “even though she was a girl.”

Atentamente,

Nohemí Tintaya Maza

Dear Donors,

I send you a warm greeting and my most sincere gratitude for all the support you have provided me. Thanks to your generosity, I have been able to continue with my studies and move closer to achieving my dreams.

My name is Nohemí Tintaya Maza, and I am a Tourist Guide student at the CENFOTUR Institute in Cusco. I am very pleased to share with you that I have completed my sixth semester. This achievement is a very important step in my academic journey, and I feel very excited because my graduation is getting closer. All of this has been possible thanks to the constant support of the Mosqoy program, which has given me the opportunity to study and grow.
Currently, in addition to my studies, I am taking a Portuguese course, which will allow me to expand my knowledge and improve my language skills, something very valuable in my career. I am also fortunate to be working in a travel agency, where I can interact with tourists and put into practice what I have learned about my career. This work is allowing me to gain firsthand experience and knowledge of the tourism industry, which is fundamental to my professional development.

Little by little, my dreams are becoming a reality, and everything I have achieved so far fills me with gratitude and hope. Each step I take brings me closer to my goal of becoming a professional. Without the support of the Mosqoy program and you, the donors, it would not have been possible to come this far, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. I know that, with your help, I will continue to achieve new goals and that my dreams, although big, are getting closer to being fulfilled.

Sincerely,

Nohemí Tintaya Maza
Dear donors.

Please accept my gratitude for the work that you and your collaborators do to support youth who want to achieve all their objectives and goals.

I am Nohemi Tintaya Maza. I come from the community of Mendosayoc. Currently, as you know, I am studying the degree of OFFICIAL TOURISM GUIDE at CENFOTUR institute in Cusco.
This year for me has been very good because I learned a lot about my degree, and I can tell you that this year was an unforgettable experience. I had outings and field trips where each of the students gave a tour through archaeological sites. Through this, I lost the fear that I had before; obviously, I learned to behave more confidently in public. In this way, I managed to get good grades in this fifth semester (V) of my degree, although I had to work hard to get good grades. All that was worth it, though, because the truth is I achieved what I wanted, and I moved on to the sixth semester and feel happy because I'm almost at the end of my degree. Now, I'm practically on vacation. My classes start in March, so now I'm enjoying the vacation with my parents and they have also always given me the necessary support that I need.

Well, now I will be looking forward to my classes and starting with everything. Finally, I am very grateful for your support, I know that over time I will achieve what I always wanted: to “BE A PROFESSIONAL.” Thank you very much for continuing to provide your support to those in Casa Mosqoy.

Sincerely: NOHEMI

a casa MOSQOY.

Atentamente: NOHEMI
