Telmo is the oldest of three children and lives with his brother, sister and parents on the outskirts of Quito. In his spare time he is a keen footballer. In the future he'd like to train to be a chef.

Antonia was born in the city of Beira in 2008, residing in the Macurungo area. She is an orphan of her father, victim of illness, since 2019, and has one sister. Antonia, is well-behaved and healthy. Her preferred discipline is Portuguese. For the family's sustainability, her mother buys bananas in the Goto market and resells them elsewhere. Her income is not enough to support the family with food for one month, even less to pay education for the children. Their house is having 2 bedrooms and 1 living room, has piped drinking water, low-cost energy, and a bathroom outside, made of coconut palm leaves, bags and straw.

Lucas was born in the city of Beira, Sofala province, on January 1, 2006, where he lived with his parents. He is a calm and intelligent boy and likes to play with his friends. During his free time, he reviews school subjects and helps with house duties. Lucas father died in 2011, a victim of illness. In life he worked as a police officer and his mother died in 2008, victim of illness. He has no siblings. Since the death of his parents he is living with his grandfather. The house remained with 1 bedroom after he walls of the other bedroom and living room fell with Cyclone Idai. There is an outside bathroom and the house has piped drinking water. The grandfather is retired and receives a little bonus. What he receives is not enough to support the family, sometimes they spend the day without meals. Lucas's preferred subject at school is Biology and he wants to become a Teacher. During 2020, due to COVID 19, the students had to study home, going weekly to the school to buy brochures and copies of tests. Most of the kids could not afford it.

Leandro was born in the city of Beira, Sofala province, on the March 15, 2007, where he lived with his parents. He is a playful boy and smart in terms of studies. He likes to play football. During his free time, he reviews school subjects and helps his grandmother with the house duties. Leandro’s father died in 2012, victim of illness, while working as a driver of heavy machinery and his mother died on August 23, 2018, due to illness. The boy has 1 brother. His grandmother sells cakes in front of the house. His aunt who does little jobs has helped with the little she receives but all that is not enough for the family to have regular daily meals. Leandro lives with his grandmother in their house that consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, and has an outside bathroom but no piped drinking water. He loves Biology and wants to become a Teacher. Racheal loves science and learning. Her parents cannot afford school fees. She needs help to have a better future.

Nohemi is from Mendosayoc, an extremely remote community that is approximately a three-day trip from Cusco, on the border of the Andes and the Amazon. There is no high school in Mendosayoc, so Nohemi left her community at age 12 and moved to Calca, where she completed her secondary education. Now, because of Mosqoy’s support, she will be studying at a post-secondary institute in Cusco. Nohemi hopes to return to her hometown once she graduates and support her community and family. Nohemi is a strong advocate for gender equality and the empowerment of women in education. She feels lucky that her family supported her to pursue her studies, “even though she was a girl.”

Anna is an uninhibited girl who believes that there is a price for working hard. She is the last born in a family of three; two sisters and one brother. She lives with her parents who are not employed. Anna has been working hard and has always remained focused towards achieving her goal of becoming a lecturer at the university. She wants to end poverty in Kenya by teaching and transferring skills to students at the university in different fields. She is a fan of reading novels about real life situations and how to overcome them.
