Reading is essential to future success in all careers. Are you reading books for pleasure? I read every night. Right now I'm reading a book about a woman who owns a sheep farm in Vermont. It's really interesting and I'm learning how hard it is. She helps when they sheep give birth, in sheering their wool and overall management of the flock. It's something I knew very little about so I am learning a lot. I also like reading books that weave history with a story or a book with a mystery in it. Studies show that students who read for pleasure do better on exams and improve on critical thinking and creativity. During this break I encourage you to borrow a book from the Kenya Connect library and READ every day!

It's summer in Maryland where I live. It's been very hot here. This weekend it got cooler which has been nice. Yesterday, I weeded my gardens and did some house cleaning.

It was good to hear from you. It sounds like you had a strong term. I am very pleased to hear that you are reading. Reading for pleasure is essential to long term success and it opens your minds to so many new things. Right now I'm reading about a woman who raises sheep on a farm in Vermont in the U.S. I'm learning so much about how hard it is to run a successful sheep farm and how they sheer the sheep and care for them. Over the holiday I visited library and I revised my notes and read few novels, including beyond the shadow and soldiers wife
In school everything was good although temperatures were very cold.I Also participated in rugby for fun .
Studies were fine and am happy to inform you that we finished form 3 syllabus and after we open school we are going to start form 4 work.
We did a full exam.It was a bit hard but I tried my best.I got a B but I promise to improve best times.

I am doing well and I hope that you are doing well too. It`s my great pleasure to write this journal to inform you that we are now back home for a short break from school. Life at school is nice and studies are going on well. The year began well and I am very happy because I proceeded to form three. Being a student of a senior class is very nice because of the respect you usually get from the rest of the students despite it having too much work load since studies have upgraded.
In the first term of the year, our school participated in different activities in which it was competing with other schools. In the Science and technology competitions,our school emerged as the winner and proceeded to the national level. We were very happy as a school because we received many awards of trophies. Our drama club did their best but luck was not on their side since they did not proceed to the national level. We have great hope of that they will do well in the next competitions. We came home from school for the short break on 24th June and we will be going back on 30th June.
