Zeyna is the firstborn child in a family of three. Her parents are unemployed and depend on subsistence farming, which has adversely been affected by frequent droughts. Zeyna is a brilliant young girl who is determined to achieve her goals despite the many challenges she has been going through. Her dream to become a journalist has been her driving force. She has been concerned about many cases happening in the rural areas with no one to report to the world. For her education is an eye opener.

I first take this opportunity to thank the Almighty God for His protection and also to thank you for your support and mercies that you have shown to me,be blessed.I want to inform you that we are home for a short holiday of about one week due to the general election in our country.
For the short half term we have really tried to utilize our time well, I can say it's well spent.I promise to work hard during the short holiday.Good bye

I hope you are fine and healthy.I am fine too.I would like to take this opportunity to thank God for his protection and also to thank you for your support,may God bless you all.We had a short mid_term break but tomorrow we are going back to school.I also thank Kenya connect for coming up with Houses of Wisdom,whereby each class has it's name e.g I am in the House of courage.

    Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.

    Kelvin is a young student whose father has abandoned him, his brother, and his mother. She had an obstetric fistula from giving birth that made it very difficult for her to work. Kelvin is close with his grandparents but his mother struggles to keep the family housed and there are days they only have one meal. He wants to succeed in school along with his brother.
