Hi donors, I hope that you are very fine.It is indeed very long since I last wrote to you.I am very fine working towards my goal. The term has been very short, so I had to equip myself very well.I really appreciate for funding my education over time. Currently,I am staying with my parents at home.We are making arrangements so that we at least grow something on our tiny farm. The rains have not yet started but there are indications that it is about to rain.My main aim to write to you was to appreciate you and inform you that we have closed the school for the end of year break. I really struggled with the exam for it was not an easy one for it meant reading the full year work but eventually performed well. In school I have made worthy friends who have initiated me positively in my education. We are approaching December and therefore,we are making arrangements so as to celebrate the birth of Jesus vividly.Since we have closed schools,we will be opening for another term on ninth January next year. I am very grateful to have an access on the outside world through the computers and televisions in our school.May your pockets never run dry and may the most high give you blessings of each type.My family wishes you a very nice time,a merry christmass and a happy new year. Be blessed.
Hello donors, How are you going on?I hope that you are fine.I am also fine and very happy to inform that I joined a national secondary school and it is one of the best and highly performing schools in our country. It is a dream come true for me because I have always wanted to join a national school. The distance from home to our school is very long. It actually takes me close to 10 hours to get to the school.
We have come home for a holiday break. The term has been a beehive of activities including games, exams and educational trips. The climate at school is not that much favorable. The school is situated in a high land and this makes the weather to be very cold. Another unique thing about the area where my school is located is that it rains almost daily and hence the main crop grown is tea and the county is the biggest producer of tea in Kenya. Our school is. I have known how to plant some crops such because I take Agriculture.
I will be going back to school at the end of this month for my third term. I have improved in my grades and I promise to improve more.
Many thanks for funding my education and helping me to stay in school without being send home for school fees. May your pockets be blessed and may you be blessed with good health and everything good.
I wish you all a nice time.

It was 2009 when I started standard 1. I was very happy to start primary level. When my mother died, it was really painful to me. It is a gap which will never be filled in my heart. After the funeral, I continued my studies. I am thankful I completed the term and passed the exam to standard 2. When I was in class 2, my father was my hope but after my mother's death, he changed and did not take care of me. Instead I was raised by my relatives. In 2010, my father died too and I have lived with my grandmother ever since. I was my parents' only child. Because of these challenges, I have learned that education is the best of all worldly things, better than money which gets used up. Education is the best heritage. I will never give up the chance for education. I really appreciate being selected as a scholarship beneficiary of The School Fund. I will work hard, very hard, to achieve my dream and help less fortunate people

My dream is to become an accountant and I will get there by studying hard. The moment that I felt proud of myself is when I learned that I passed the Standard 7 National Exams. The happiest moment in my life is when I was selected by the Ebenezer Seminary for my secondary school education. The most difficult experience I had is the death of my my best friend. He died of malaria. Malaria is a disease that can be treated. My friend could be alive if he got proper medical treatment. I learn from his death that we need to help our poor friends with their basic needs. I plan to help the orphans to make sure they can reach their dreams as I will. I will also contribute some of my salary to help the disabled people after my dream comes true.

Carmen is one of our most dedicated students. She attends all of our events and meetings, and is eager to begin her studies. After graduating high school, she worked as a waitress in Puka Rumi, one of the best restaurants in town. Here, under the mentorship of renowned chef Alejo, she fell in love with the art of cooking and hopes to someday open her own restaurant. In her spare time, she is an athlete. Her favourite sport is volleyball, and she was the only female to compete in last year's Ollantaytambo weightlifting competition! She comes from a humble campesino (rural indigenous) family. Since her father passed away 16 years ago, she and her nine siblings have since been raised by her single mother.
