Raymond is the firstborn in a family of two. He lives with his mother and grandparents. He has been raised by a single parent, his mother. His mother has been supporting the family through casual jobs. Raymond dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon in future because he wants to help people with mental problems. Also, there are few neurosurgeons in the country. He is very outgoing and enjoys drawing to improve his skills. Despite the challenges he faced, he believed in hard work and emerged as the best student in his school. For sure, hard work never goes unrewarded.

Davis is the second born in a family of six. He completed his primary school education and passed very well in his national examinations. His parents deserted the family and he and his siblings are currently living with their aged grandmother who is unable to work. Davis is a determined young boy who wants to be a meteorologist to fulfill his desire of understanding the earth’s atmospheric phenomena as well as uplift his family from poverty. The encouraging words from his grandmother have propelled him to pursue his dreams and he believes that there is light at the end of the tunnel. He likes playing football during his free time.

The family depends on well-wishers to cater for their needs. Kaluki completed her primary education in 2019 and was unable to join secondary school due to lack of school fees. She decided to repeat grade eight with great hopes of joining high school. Despite the challenges, she emerged the best student in her school. She aspires to be a cardiologist to save the lives of many. Kaluki believes that hard work pays. She loves singing.

Maureen Mueni is the first born child in a family of three. She lives with her single mum and her siblings. Her mother struggles a lot to fend for their needs. She is inspired to be a doctor so that she is able to lift up her family from the shackles of poverty. She loves reading.

Christine completed her primary education in 2020 and was unable to join secondary school due to lack of school fees. She decided to repeat grade eight with great hopes of doing much better. Felix is the last born in a family of four. He stays with his grandmother. Their father abandoned them when he was 10 years old. His mother has been struggling to single handedly take care of the family. He loves reading and playing football and wants to be a university professor.

Purity comes from a family of six siblings; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is the fifth born child in her family. She lives with her parents who do casual jobs to cater for the family needs. Her elder siblings dropped out of school due to lack of school fees.
