The School Fund TZ carries on the original mission of The School Fund by working directly with schools in Tanzania. Local staff provides scholarships to students with financial need, academic promise, a good work ethic, and a desire to give back to their communities.
My ambition is to be an engineer in the sector of mechanics because I would like to develop my nation. Our nation is lower at technology than others. That makes it a poor nation. I don’t like to see that. I want my nation to produce its own products for its own people rather than buying from foreign countries, causing our country’s finances to be low. I want to be an example for Tanzanians by increasing national development. If I become an engineer, I shall increase technology and industry in my nation. Most people say study hard and make your ambition come true and be employed outside Tanzania in a developed country. My ambition is to make the impossible possible. People say I can’t do it but I believe I will help my nation develop fast so it will be respected.

I dream to grow up to be an accountant because I love book keeping. And I told myself that I will get there by hard study. My happiest moment is when I score well in the exam. After I fulfill my dream of becoming an account, I will help street children. My kind heart feel sad when I see them drifting on the street. And I plan to give back to the school Fund, my goal is to give them 1 Million.

I am my mother’s first child and I never knew my father. When I was 4, I was sent to stay with my grandmother. Mom worked day and night but still not able to afford school fees. Mother remarried and had two sons. My step daddy was a new hope for the family but he died. We were always financially unstable, but with his death it has become horrible. Despite the hard life, I always cherish the moments I spent with my step daddy simply because I know how it felt to have a daddy by my side. I want to become a doctor and support my family. I never knew how to hit this target until the coming of TSF, I saw light. I would like a university education. I was proud when TSF selected me for a scholarship, it made me feel special to be chosen out of many.

My life has been challenged since I started my primary education due to situation of my parents. They came from a lower class economically. My father depends on a small farm, which has little productivity. This was the big challenge to my school life. I failed to get my school fees and expenses paid. My mother has no job. She is a home keeper. My dream is to become a teacher. I can reach this by adding to my effort in learning, listening to advice and reading more books. The day I was chosen to be supported by The School Fund was so amazing. It seems like my dreams are on the way to becoming true. I hope that some years from now I will have accomplished my dream.

My dream is to be a pilot. One day my mother asked me, when you grow up you want to be? I told her I want to be a pilot. She said that to be a pilot you need to study hard at geography, physics, mathematics, biology and chemistry. On that day my mother gives me the way to be pilot. One day my mother went to visit my grandmother at Mkwawa. On her way, she saw a man come toward her. She thought that man wanted to pass her but that man was a thief. He hit her on the head with a machete. When good people saw this, they helped my mother and took her to hospital. I feel happy because my mother, brother, and father support me and help me when I am not correct at different things when I study. Thank you.
