Felix is a third born in a family of six children. His parents abandoned the family leaving the burden of bringing up the family to their aged grandmother who is ailing and can't work. Felix could sometimes miss school and perform casual work to cater for food. Food has always been inadequate in their family. They get help from well-wishers. Due to lack of source of light at night, Felix used to study at night at neighbors' homestead. He accredits his success to being obedient, God fearing and consulting the teachers. He is very determined to become a teacher to teach students and help the community. He enjoys playing football. He believes that he will never die until he dies.

Ralph lives with his sibling and her single mother. He enjoys math and science and would like to an engineer.

Harvinder and her sister stay with their aged and ailing grandmother who cannot provide for or educate them. They need help to continue with their education.

Peter is a bright boy and needs support to continue his education. Both his parents are unable to provide for him because of being in the latter stage of HIV.
