When schools were closed indefinitely, he used to wake up early in the morning to study and revise. He also attended the online classes. He utilized the opportunity well knowing that every cloud has a silver lining and emerged as the best student in his school. He enjoys playing football. Knowing his purpose in school was his secret advantage.
Purery enjoys scoial studies and learning. He lives with an ill parent who cannot afford school fees.
Elvis is the last born in a family of two. His mother is a single mom. Elvis lives with his aunt while his mother is busy looking for casual jobs to sustain the family. Despite the challenges he faced during his primary education, he managed to score exemplary marks. His dream to become a doctor to treat the sick in his village has been his driving force. Elvis likes to play football during his free time and he believes that hard work will never go unrewarded.
Agnes is an outgoing girl who completed her primary education and passed very well. She is the first born child with two young brothers and one sister. Her mother is a single mom. She is self-employed as a tailor and her earnings are not sufficient to pay her daughter’s secondary school fees. The family lives in a rented single room. Agnes believes that hard work pays and desires to work hard to uplift her family from poverty and also help the aged as well children who come from poor backgrounds. She aspires to be a doctor to treat sick people from all over the world. Her hobby is reading story books.
David does not yet know what kind of work he would like to do. At school, he is keen on natural sciences. At home in his spare time he plays with his brother and his father, who is ill and cannot work. David is also keen on football.
Elijah is the fourth born in a family of five. Their father neglected the family and left his mother the burden of providing for the family. The mother lost her business last year due to Covid-19 and now does casual jobs to support two of her daughters in secondary school. At home Elijah could not study well due to lack of reliable source of light. He used to wake up very early to make it to school in order to utilize the electricity at the school. Managing time well and consulting teachers made him excel in his studies. He aspires to be an aeronautical engineer and making new discoveries. His academic path so far has taught him that every successful person has a painful story. Elijah likes swimming.
Collins is the last-born child in a family of six. His mother is single and has a great burden of education two of his siblings who are currently in high school. To keep the siblings in school she has sold almost her land. The family has been left with a very small land that cannot sustain their livelihood. Despite facing challenges in his primary school, Collins did not give up in his quest to become an accountant. He believes that hard work never goes unrewarded
Joshua loves English and learning. He comes from a poor background and is unable to raise fees for secondary school.
Jacinta loves English and writing. She comes from an extremely poor family in which she would be the first to graduate high school. She hopes to overcome the generational barrier and needs support.
Willington loves math and school. He is raised by a single parent who does not have any stable form of employment to sustain her eight children. He needs help to get a secondary school education.
Susana lives with her mother and two brothers. Her younger sister lives with her father, who left the family home when Susana was small. She is a very lively girl, who has done well at school so far. Susana is very keen on music and dancing, and loves to help other children who are not as advanced as her.
