Nivea is fifteen years old from Uganda. Both her parents have low income. She comes from a family of nine children whereby she's the first born.She has both grandparents living. She got fistula when she was fourteen years old and stayed with it for one year before getting treatment. She's dry now. She is willing to learn, and she will like to become a nurse when she grows up. She likes playing football.

JOIN HEREFaith is a 17 year old girl interested in nursing. She has suffered with a fistula for several years and had many difficult surgeries. She is a resilient young woman ready to start form 1 January of 2020. Faith is one of five children and she lives with her parents, who do casual jobs to try to provide for their family.

Peris is a high-energy, happy 15 year old girl who lives with her mother and grandfather and siblings. She developed a fistula at age 13 when she was attacked by an unknown person. She joined Beyond Fistula and has rejoined school. She has advanced well and is especially good in her English classes. This coming year she is hoping to have her schooling suppoted by The School Fund

Briana is a teenager at Hillside School in Eldoret, Kenya. She lives with her mother, father, two sisters, and two grandmothers. Briana hopes that she will be able to continue her education into a good career, but she is not sure what yet.

Siantayo is a teenaged girl in Kenya. She has a mother, a father, and eight siblings - four girls and four boys. Siantayo was born with a fistula and has had many surgeries to try to correct it. Now she has a colostomy to manage. She likes studying and feels blessed to have support in her education.

Pauline Moraa Pauline is a shy, bright, seven-year-old who is currently doing well in school after recovering from an unsafe family situation. Her loving grandparents sent her to Beyond Fistula due to concerns for her safety, and she has now happily adjusted to life here. The older women at Beyond Fistula are like her big sisters, and she loves her new 'family', as well as the opportunity to pursue her education.
