His parents are unemployed and only depend on casual jobs to cater for the needs of their family. Regardless of him sleeping without food, he toiled so hard to pass his examinations. Gabriel believes that obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal and he is very insistent on his dream of becoming an engineer to help his community. He loves cycling as a hobby.

Purity enjoys reading. She was Kenya Connect 2020 queen reader having read 264 books in a span of three months. She aspires to be a lawyer to help fight injustices in the country. She strongly believes that hard work never goes unrewarded

Purity is the first-born in a family of two. She has been staying with her grandmother who is struggling to cater for her needs. Her mum and dad separated and her mum went to source a livelihood in town and has never returned for the past five years. Purity is however determined and she believes that education will set her at a better place to break the poverty cycle in her family. She believes in being hardworking, committed, patient, kind and focused. She would want to be a pilot when she grows up.
