The most difficult moment I had in life was the accident caused by motorcycle. This happened when I was on the way from home to school; I hurt my right leg during that accident. My father took me to the hospital and I was at home for three weeks and could not attend school. Another difficulty is school expenses. Sometimes my parents can’t fulfill my needs. It is hard time to get school bags, books, food, and other things. This weakened my academic performance in school. I was very impressed when I passed standard seven and was selected to join form 1 at Wel Wel Secondary School. I am proud of it because I was chosen among many. Four years from now I will be in A-levels somewhere in our country.

There are three children in our family and I am the last born. I live with my mother in Dar-es-Salaam. My dream is to become a surgeon because I would love to help people with problems. I believe that I am going to get there through studying hard and paying attention in my studies. The moment that I felt when I won in academic issues against a person I never thought I could defeat. My friends, parents and teachers were glad for me. The happiest moment in my life was when I performed well in my exams. I never thought I could because I was taken home for not paying school fees and made it back in time to do the examinations which I didn’t study for. The difficult experience was when my dad got sick in 2013. I never thought that my daddy would leave me alone when I was in standard 4. He spent two months at the hospital and died. It was saddest day ever. What I have learned through this is that people you love the most may not stay with you forever. And nothing of them will remain in this world. My interest is reading. I believe that one day I will finish all the books in the Dork Diaries series.

My mother is dead and I live with my father. He is a small peasant farmer at Nyabura. I study hard in all subjects at home and at school because I want to be a teacher. I want to teach many students so that they too reach their dreams and live a happy life. Thank you to The School Fund for the light you have brought into my life.

The difficult experience I had is when my father passed away in 2004 and when my mother told me that my father had died. My family was in a difficult life situation because there was no help for us. What I learnt is that without education nothing will be achieved. My dream is to be a surgeon. I believe in studying hard and learning more about the occupation. The moment when I felt proud of myself was when I passed my class 7 examination and joined secondary education. Not everyone gets the chance. The happiest moment in my life was when my parents decided to send me to private school although they are poor. My lovely mom found for me the best school and did each and everything to send me to school. It gives me the hope that I’ll achieve what I’ve planned. Four years from now, I will have completed form 4 and joined A-level studies.

My mother was sick when I was very young. My father had left for Arusha. It was sad because I thought my mother would die. I am thankful that my mother's friends came to help her. I learned from this situation that it is bad when a father abandons his wife and children. My dream is to become a doctor. It can be achieved only through education. I will study hard. My happiest moment will be when I succeed and have a good life.

I live with both mother and father. My father has no job and my mother sells local vegetables but it is not enough to satisfy our family's basic needs. My father is not concerned with our needs. The situation is affecting my education and our family life. I have poor uniforms, lack books, and so on. If I can pay for the school requirements, I am sure I will reach my goal of being a teacher. The happiest moment in my life was when I was selected for O-level.
