Mwanhawa has a special place at Ummu Salama. Orphaned at a young age, Mwanahwa lived on the streets before arriving at the orphanage where she now lives. It is not difficult for Mwanhawa to speak to adults and her peers, also she is wonderfully expressive in writing. Teachers have seen a lot of growth in Mwanhawa since she first came to Ummu Salama.mwanhawa like to share ideas with different people in the world.

I am the oldest child in my family and I have two sisters, both of them in primary school. I cannot express in words the happiness that swamped me when I was chosen to join TSF. It ended problems relating to my studies. I felt proud of myself when I was selected to represent my school in the science competition. It was a challenge for me but I refused to sell out the opportunity because the school believed in me. I hope one day to represent my country. I want to be a cardiac surgeon. To be a cardiac surgeon is more than a calling and I must have things like good performance, trust, respect and discipline. If I succeed, I will be able to help my family and also I will always feel good to give a bit of earnings to others.

CLASS RANK 03 Fadhili Lukinga is a form one student at Highlands Secondary School. He has one sister and one brother. His father passed away when he was still a young child. His mother is a farmer at Pawaga which is a suburb area in Iringa. She is dealing with the cultivation of rice. The little money she earns from selling her crops is what she uses to cater for her family's basic needs and Fadhilii's school fees. Fadhili has been spending little time in school because of the failure to pay the school fees in due time. Previously he delayed to start his secondary school education for two years because of such a problem. This boy regardless of his problems has been performing well in his studies as it can be noted from above he appeared the third in his class. Both his brother and sister are living in the village.

I live with my mother in Iringa. I was very happy and proud when I got my form 4 results. The dream of my life is to become a doctor. I am sure one day I will achieve it by studying hard, having self-discipline and cooperating effectively with my fellow students and teachers. I look forward to being a doctor and helping other people who are in need. My father died one year after my birth. My mother struggles by herself to look after me. It is very difficult for her as the amount she earns as an assistant teacher in a private primary school is very low. Four years from now, I want to be a doctor. Thank you to all TSF members and donors who are helping us so we can study.
