Jose writes, "I am proud of being indigenous, and of having a grandmother and a mother who I love a lot." He writes eloquently that the person that he admires most in his life is his grandmother because she has given him advice throughout his life and to take his studies seriously. He admires her dedication to her family, sense of responsibility, and hard work ethic and hopes to model his own life on her. One of his aspirations is to attend college or university when he is older so that he can have a professional career as a lawyer.

A very shy boy, Cosmas lives in the village of Mphimbi with his parents and brothers. After seeing his brothers' ability to provide for the family once completing secondary school, Cosmas feels inspired to follow in their footsteps. In his free time, he enjoys playing football on the Mazembe soccer team with his friends. Once he completes his education, Cosmas wishes to become a teacher in his community, where he feels he can make the biggest impact.
School Year 2013
Hekima is a student at the Lugalo Secondary School in Iringa and will graduate in 2012. He is saddened by the poverty in Tanzania. Education he believes is a tool that can "help the low-life achieve prosperity." He aspires to be a mayor in order to better his home country. The School Fund is a model for what he hopes to accomplish in the future,helping those in need.
