After the dad passed away paying school fees and buying food has been a big problem for the mum who works as a house help. Fredrick hopes to go to university and study engineering.

Eugene lives with his aunt who sells French fries as a means of survival. This forced him to live with his aunt who has struggled to pay for his school fees. Eugene's aunt is very passionate about education and despite her meager income she goes out of her way to ensure all the children under her care get a better education. Eugene loves sports and has a strong affinity for computers. He aspires to be an expert in computers. However, the situation at home keeps dimming this bright dream.

I come from a big family. I have nine other siblings. We are all taken care of by my father who at this point is not working/unemployed. My older siblings have attended/still attend not-very-good schools. I was to follow suit until The School Fund came to my rescue. This is a "first" in my family. This is a common situation in Kibera. I am among the lucky few from financially disadvantaged families to get support from well-wishers.

I joined the football team in school and I hope to help my school achieve its highest feat. I work hard in everything I do and I go for the most challenging of experiences to gain more exposure. My philosophy in life is to always strive for the highest attainable glory.

Lilian’s family is very poor. They cannot afford their basic needs, and they have no source of income. Lilian needs support to complete high school, which will enable her to help her family. Lilian enjoys studying business and math, and she hopes to become an accountant.

Janerose is the only child in her poor family who managed to complete primary level. Her father is very old and has no source of income to pay for her education. She needs help so that later she can help her family. Janerose loves biology and chemistry and would like to become a doctor.

Quelington comes from a poverty stricken family. His family stays in a slum and cannot afford anything. He enjoys chemistry and computer courses and hopes to become a computer engineer.

Partn’s father passed away and he stays with his unemployed mother. She cannot afford to pay the school fees for his 7 siblings and him. He enjoys his classes very much and wants to become a police officer after his schooling ends. Partn needs help to achieve his dream.
