Sharon’s parents were unable to take care of her and her siblings so they left them in the care of old grandparents who are not able to sustain their needs and education. Sharon needs financial assistance to continue her education. She loves mathematics and chemistry and hopes to become a doctor.

Millcent is a young girl with a lot of passion and energy. Her father passed away in 2001 from HIV/AIDS, and since then Millcent and her siblings have been strong and have dedicated their time and effort into doing well in school to pursue their dreams. Millcent is always eager to read more books and learn more until she becomes a doctor.

Stella’s father is deceased. She and and her three siblings currently live with their unemployed grandmother who cannot pay for their food and school fees. She loves all her classes and wants to be a judge one day.

Both of Lavender’s parents passed away so she lives with her grandmother. Unfortunately, her grandmother is poor and cannot afford to pay for her food or school fees. Lavender loves to read and needs help pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher.

Lloyds father died recently serving as a police officer. His family was very supportive of Wema’s efforts until the passing of his father. His mother is now unable to provide support for the school fees for his brothers and him. Lloyds needs help in pursuing his dream of becoming a lawyer.

Charity is the top student in Form 4 at Highway Academy. Her father has been unable to work after falling from a tree in 2010, and her mother struggles to provide for all 6 of her children. Charity depends on the support of others to stay in school, but despite these hardships her future is incredibly bright. She shows particular promise in her language classes and her teachers praise her willingness to participate. She demonstrates extreme dedication to her schoolwork and hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.

Patrick became an orphan following his father's death in May of 2011. His mother passed away in 2001, and he and his six siblings currently live alone in a house that is a walking distance from Highway Academy. When he is not studying to become an engineer, he can be found playing football with friends. He is an extremely lively and passionate boy who loves to dedicate himself fully to his work. He hopes to one day study at the University of Nairobi.
