Jonathan is the fourth born child in a family of six children. He has a twin brother called Isaac Nzingi. Their parents are divorced and have deserted the children. The children live with a guardian (Florence) who takes care for them. The main challenge is that the guardian family has a big family of their own (comprised of seven children) to fend for therefore limiting their ability to support these adopted children. The first and the second born brothers of Jonathan completed form four in 2012 and 2014 through support of well-wishers. The third born is currently in form four at the Mbaikini School and is supported by the guardian family. Jonathan did his primary exam in 2014 and passed well with 323 marks and has been admitted at The Mbaikini school. Jonathan is determined to join high school despite all odds. Renise came to the streets of Port-au-Prince from northern Haiti with her sister to beg and raise money to help her poor family. Life on the streets, however, turned out to be more difficult and traumatic than she expected. As a result, Renise used to regularly stutter, speaking only one word every few seconds when she got nervous or upset. Today, she loves being at the girls' home, is very confident, and has become an outstanding student. She skipped two grades and for the last few years, has been at the top of her class. She has a deep, profound, faith, and wants to one day dedicate her life to help share Jesus with other children living on the streets. Please pray for Renise's continued growth in the Lord and knowledge of His Word.
