My name is Lansana Marrah. I am a boy of 14 years. I am in grade 6. My best subjects are Verbal Aptitude, Language Arts and Mathematics. I go to school from Monday through Friday. I like going to the Farm with my parents on weekends. My favorite music is hip-pop music. I like watching Nigerian Movies and my favorite actress is Ini Ido. I like the way she play her roles. My favorite food is Cassava and Stew. My hobbies are listening to international news and growing flowers. I want to be an Agriculturalist when I get older.

Kulwa's father and mother are separated, so she and her twin sister, Dotto, live with their aunt in Ntulya. They also have an older and a younger brother. Growing up in Ntulya, Kulwa and her twin sister were far from the primary school. They walked 1.5 hours to school every day, therefore unable to return home for lunch. Since the local tradition in Ntulya was opposed to Western education, they attended school in spite of the alternative priorities of their peers and guardians.
