Priya has long been a shining star in her community nestled deep in Sitapur District of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Growing up in rural India, Priya has taken advantage of every opportunity in her school. From acting in plays to practicing the locally prized art of Rangoli. Priya transferred from the government school which provided a bare education when Swarachna School first came to her community. Even being in her small community, she has faced problems with her parents allowing her to leave the house. She dreams of leaving the village and becoming a doctor.

Roopa is a bright student. She attained 182 marks out 250 in her half yearly exam. She got first ranked in her class. Apart from studies she likes to cook food. In her free time she plays with her friends. Her aspiration is to become a teacher. In her family her father is no more. So she lives with her uncle. Her uncle is a farmer. Her mother is a home maker. She does only domestic farming. She can't afford Roopa's school fees. She has a younger brother. Her brother is student of class 6 at SLRC. Roopa wants to finish her higher studies first. Then she wants to economically independent.

At a very early age, Anita left her studies due to her family's poor financial condition. She wanted to continue her studies however her family didn't allow Anita to join school again. After two years, she is back in school and is studying in class 5. She is 13 year old and lives with her joint family. Her father is a laborer. Anita aims to be a teacher and enjoys playing kabbadi.
