I was born in.1937. I am a retired college history prof. and administrator. My wife died in 2003, so I live alone. I have two children: one in Sioux Falls, S.D. (daughter), and one in Oregon(Son).
Faith is the last-born child in a family of three. She did her final primary school exam in 2018 and passed well but she could not proceed to high school due to lack of school fees. She however did not give up in life. She decided to repeat grade eight with hope that her mother would take her to school. Due to extreme poverty her elder siblings never went to high school. Her father is a drunkard and abusive. With the little income from casual jobs, her mother has managed to cater for the family’s basic needs. With all these many challenges, Faith has remained focused. She dreams to be a renowned lawyer in future to litigate on matters concerning the poor and especially the girl child. To her determination knows no barriers.

Rosa was born in Sofala province. She is a very calm and a smiling girl. She loves to play with her friends of the same age. She is orphaned of father, who died in 2011, victim of illness. He used to do little jobs in the construction field. After her father's death, her mother abandoned the children and disappeared to an uncertain part until today. No one knows if she is alive or not. Rosa went to live with her uncle. His work is helping the fishermen pulling the nets. With the salary he earns, he is not able to sustain all the needs of his family. If the girl will not get support, she will have to stop studying.

Lavender is the only child. However, her parents support three of her cousins who are orphans. The first is Samson and he is in class 8 at Spurgeons academy, Stephen is in class 7 at Ayany primary and Moses is in class 6 also at Ayany primary. Lavender's mother works as a cook at Spurgeons primary and her father is self employed and works as a tailor. She is a confident girl. Something she has worked on for a very long time since it would her in a dream career. She would like to be a Lawyer in future so that she would be able to fight for the rights of the disadvantaged. Since she joined high school, Lavender has maintained impressive grades. She remains focused towards achieving her dream.
