Mimutye’s parents are subsistence farmers — supporting themselves by grazing cattle and growing crops. He has one older brother and four younger siblings. Mimutye is the first in his family to finish secondary and go onto A-level. While his brother attended secondary school, he failed Form 4 and had to get a job. Mimutye dreams of being able to finish A-level and to become a doctor so that he can support his family and send his younger siblings to school. While he has four younger siblings, none of them currently attend primary school because his parents do not have the money for school fees and instead, rely on them to help them on their farm. Mimutye was the winner of an entrepreneurship contest at school and now has the opportunity to start a small business. With the money he makes, he hopes to be able to support his younger siblings and send them to school.
