The Milaan school serves low income and lower cast families in a rural community in Uttar Pradesh, India. Support from The School Fund enables Milaan to provide these students a high quality education at little or no cost.

But her dream is completely different from her interests. She aspires to become a doctor. There are seven members in her family. She is third born in her five siblings. Her hobby is to play badminton. She wants to be a teacher.

She participated in tug of war and her team won first prize in this competition. Apart from sports she likes cook food. Jilebi is her favorite sweet dish. In her free time she likes to read Hindi stories. In her family her father is a farmer and some times he does labor work too. Her mother is house wife and does work of small embroidery work. Meera is the eldest one of her four siblings.

Her father depends on casual labor work for their livelihood and having economic challenges in their daily lives. She was a drop out girl and has taken admission after one year gap. It was not easy for her to pick up quickly after a long gap so she is been shifted to remedial classes to improve. She is regular student and takes active participation in extra curriculum activities. She is interested to play carom, badminton and kho-kho. As she likes sports a lot. So she wants to become a sports teacher. Her favorite subject is Hindi.
