Milaan Foundation envisions an inclusive and equal world where every girl has the knowledge, skills and social environment to pursue her dreams and explore her full potential. Over the last 12 years, Milaan has worked with more than 35,000 children and young people and advocated for safer and more inclusive spaces for them at various state and national platforms. The Milaan School specifically serves low income and lower cast families in a rural community in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Reena is a good singer. She likes to sing devotional songs. She wants to grow her career in singing field.

Babli is 14 year old. She is a sporty and artistic girl. She likes to play football and kabbadi. She is multi-talented girl. She participates in every activity specially in sport. She is also good in studies. Science is her favorite subject. Apart from studies and sports she is good in Arts & craft. She likes to make hand made fans and baskets. But her dream is completely different from her interests. She aspires to become a doctor. There are seven members in her family. She is third born in her five siblings. Her father has small piece of land. And her family fully depends on small farming. Her family is poor.

Kaushiki wants to be a doctor when she grows up. In cultural activities she finds her forte. She loves dancing and is a confident actress on stage when performing in school plays. Her father is a small time farmer and mother a simple home-maker. Their house got washed away in a flash flood, causing them to loose everything. She could not come to school for 3 months.

Laxmi Devi is a serious girl. She likes to do her work with silence. Her hobby is to make rangoli. She participated in rangoli competition at SLRC and her team won second prize. She is an average in her studies. She likes to play kho-kho. She aims to become a craft teacher. She opted computer for vocational training. They are six members in her family. Her father is a farmer and mother is a home maker. Her father's income is too low so he can't afford laxmi and her younger sister's school fees.
