I am 13 years old and I live with my father, mother, and other relatives. My father is a mechanic. My mother is a shopkeeper who sells industrial goods. I am a Form 1 student. I want to be a doctor of medicine. I want to help people who have hardship in their lives. Because of The School Fund, I believe I will be able to reach my dream and help my family. I will make use of this opportunity by studying hard because I want one day to be a good person.

It was 2009 when the journey of my education started. I study hard because I know one day my dream of being an engineer will come true. In 2015 I finished primary school. In 2016 I started secondary school. I want to reach my goals. I promise myself that I will study hard because my vision is to become an engineer. I want to promise The School Fund that I will never let you down. I want to help my family and my entire community the way my father did. He was a journalist who was killed by the police as he was fighting to show how politics work in our society.

The most difficult experience in my life happened when I was selected to join my secondary school. I lacked money for school needs and I could not be at school when it started. Finally my parents got some money and the school allowed me to attend. My dream is to become a doctor. In order to make my dream come true, I will study hard and cooperate with my teachers and fellow students. I felt especially proud of myself when I passed the examination. It was a happy day when I was chosen by The School Fund, not only for myself but also for my family because we all share the problem. I want to help the community by supporting people, especially students who have no money for their school needs.

I am the oldest in our family. My father is a driver at Udzungwa. His education is standard 7. He did not go to secondary school because his parents separated and my grandmother lived like a widow. My father left school to help my grandmother. In 1999, he was employed in Udzungwa as a driver. That is the story about my father. My mother's education is standard 7, too. Because of her family's poverty, she could not continue her studies. Later, she married my father. As for me, if I get the chance of education, I will not let it go. I believe a golden chance never comes twice. I love orphans more than anything and if I become a doctor, I will help them get a better education.
