About

I want to be a doctor because I want to save people's lives and treat them so they will feel well. Also I will help my family and relatives. If I am a doctor, I can be a big help to my society. I will advise them to clean the environment which surrounds them and to avoid sharing sharp objects that may lead to the spread of diseases like AIDS, which we can avoid. I am thankful for everything and I promise to do all that I can to reach my dream.

Hi School Fund Students

Sorry it took me a while to write to you. For those of you who is receiving my journal the first time, let me introduce myself.

My name is Indy. I am currently living at the same town as Ms Judy. She and I went to high school together. I am so happy to have this opportunity to get to know you.

I used to work with computers for many many years. Do you like to use computers?

Yesterday I met with some of my old school friends for lunch. These are the friends I have for almost 50 years. We talked about our school days when we were 12 years old.
It brought many happy memories.

Do you enjoy your school? Now is the time to form good friendship with your classmates? What do you do with your classmates? Do you study together? Do you talk and share secrets? I know you have a lot of study to do. Hopefully you can find some time to do some fun stuff with your friends.

Please write back to let me know what interests you.

Until next time,
your friend,
Indy
Hello Madam Karen,

And as you know the semester is already finish we are prepare to close it on 8/12/2017 and when we will close i decide that i will go to Dar es salaam to greet my parent ,my young sister and my other relative like my aunts and my uncles.

And i think this route it will be so great because i will see all my relatives than that last year i was saw only a few relatives. and i will study in order to finish all topics of form one and form two which i was not yet to cover all and i think until new year i will be already finish all in order to start to cover form three topics.
I have so many to say but i will end here.

Have a good day

Hello Madam Judy,
How are you doing out there?i think your going fine but on my side i am fine and i am doing well with my studies, and i am continue to get lead for my National Examinations.
In our country we have some of Nationals parks these are Ngorongoro National park,Serengeti National park,Manyara National park,Mikumi National park,Selous National park,Ruaha National park which is in Iringa region and so on.But within these all i will like to give you more explanation about Ngorongoro National park. This National park is located in western Arusha in Tanzania, it is not only a national park but also a a crater that mostly attracts tourists.
In northern Tanzania, just west of Arusha you will find the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater. An estimated 2.5 million years ago, the old volcano collapsed to form this crater. Known for its breathtaking landscape and exciting wildlife viewings, the crater is often referred to as Africa's Garden of Eden and the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Ngorongoro Crater is home to the Maasai Tribe (the best known of all the people in East Africa). They live with the wildlife in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The vegetation varies from lush greens, highland forests, abundant short grass to desert plants in other areas. It also has many rivers, swamps and bodies of water including Lake Magadi, which sits right near the center of the crater. This area is also home to one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, Olduvai Gorge, where the remains of the earliest human were found.
Ngorongoro is part of a group of extinct, dormant and active volcanoes associated with the widening of the Great Rift Valley of Africa. At one time it was probably as high as Mt. Kilimanjaro. Today it is the world's biggest unbroken crater or caldera, which is approximately up to 19km (12 miles) in diameter and stands at over 2,500m (8200ft). The world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater is just one part of much larger area of inter-related ecosystems.
This is all about Ngorongoro crater.

Hello Madam Indy,
Glad that you are fine and about me i am fine and even my studies are going well too.
Today i would like to explain to you about nutrition.
Meaning of nutrition
Nutrition is the process by which organisms take in and use nutrients.
Nutrients are any substances that nourish an organism.
Food is any material when taken in absorbed and utilized meet requirement of plant and animal body.
FUNCTION OF FOOD

1.Oxidized to release energy
2.Used in growth of cells
3.Used to repair lost cells and tissue

TYPES OF NUTRITION
There are two main types of nutrition: autotrophic nutrition and heterotrophic nutrition.
Autotrophic Nutrition
Is the process by which organisms manufacture their own food from simple inorganic substances like carbon and hydrogen using either light energy(photosynthesis) or chemical energy (chemosynthesis)
Heterotrophic Nutrition
Is the process in which organisms get nutrients by eating other organisms.
IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION

1.Prevent diseases
2.Helps growth and development of cells, tissue and organs
3.It helps to repair damaged parts
4.It helps to protect the body against infection and diseases

Hello Madam Ying,
Hope that you are healthy well and about your works also are going fine but about my don't worry ,i am fine and even my studies are going good but as you know that the semester is near to end so we are getting lead for our National examination but this examination start monday 13/11/2017 and because we have many subjects so we will use two weeks , we have almost nine subujects these are history, math, geography, civics, biology, english, chemistry, physics and kiswahili.
I would like to explain to you a little about human digestive system.
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM IN HUMAN BEING.
Digestion is the process by which food is broken down into a form that can be absorbed and used by the body.
The digestive system of human refers to the human alimentary canal and theorgans and glands associated with it.
Digestion process involves two processes, which are mechanical break down offood and chemical break down of food. The mechanical break down of food takesplace in the mouth where the food is chewed by teeth so as to reduce it into smallpieces.
Digestive enzymes achieve chemical break down of food. The digested food isabsorbed and assimilated in the body.
The digestion process starts in the mouth where food is mechanically brokendown by teeth. The presence of food in the mouth stimulates the salivary glandto produce more saliva.
FUNCTIONS OF SALIVA

Have salivary amylase enzyme that converts starch into maltose
1. To moisten the food
2. To provide medium for enzyme reactions
3. Have mucus to lubricate food for easy swallowing
4. Saliva consists of Sodium and Calcium salt to ensure alkaline mediumfor amylase enzyme.

Hello Madam Karen,
I hope you are fine and you are doing well with your works but by my side i am fine and even my studies are all going well too.
I would like to continue with what i was telling you ,i remember that it was kingdom fungi. Also kingdom have three phyla these are ascomycota, zycomycota and basidiomycota.
Ascomycota;they produce spore in sac-fungi and these spore called ascospores example of organisms that are grouped in phylum ascomycota are yeast ,cup fungi,penicillium and ringworm.But i will characterize only yeast, so there some of characteristics of yeast these are;
1.They are unicellular
2.They reproduce sexually by using budding
Budding is where a new organism develop as an outgrowth of parents cell
3. some are use in industries in production of beer, wine and bread.
4.They can ferment with sugar to form alcohol
5.They are found on plant leaves, flowers in salt water and in the soil.

I hope you are fine and all your works are going well too but on my side i am healthy fine and about my studies are going well too but as you know that it is the end of last semester so we are getting lead for our National examination [NECTA]and i sure that i will pass my examinations with the help of God by getting the highest grade.
I would like to continue with what i was writting i think it was about kingdom fungi. Also kingdom fungi have phyla ,there three phyla of kingdom fungi that is Ascomycota,Zygomycota and Bacidiomycota.
Ascomycota [sac-fungi];They produce spore in sac like asci and these spores are called ascospores.And there is examples of organisms in this phylum ascomycota these are;yeast, cup-fungi,penicillium and ring worm.But our teacher teach as only yeast so we discribe yeast base on there characteristics ,there are some of characteristics of yeast these are;

I would like to tell you a litter about kingdom fungi.
Kingdom fungi consist the following organisms that is mucor,yeast, puffball, rhizopus or bread mould and penicillium.And there is some characteristics of kingdom fungi that is;
1.They are found in damp and wet places.
2.They store food as glycoge.
3.They reproduce by using spores.
4.They are heterotrophic and some are parasitic.
5.They have eukaryotic cell with protective wall called chitin
6.There body are organized into thread like structure called hyphae.

Hello Jonathan,
I am glad that you are fine and you are doing well with what you are doing by my side i am fine even about my studies are going well too.
If i am not wrong you asked me about what are the my favorite quotes and wisdom to live by? i would like to copy to you that when you master your emotion, you master your life
Happiness; is emotion makes your heart feeling more better. And when your happy you will do your things better than if your anger you will not do it as it suppose to be and one day i heard some people said that if your happy your year of living in this world or in this earth will be increasing.
But the word Happy would lose it's meaning if it were not balance by sadness.

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND

neema
Dear Students,

I love to collect wisdom from different sources that are meaningful to me.
Below are a few of my favorites that I would like to share with you:

1) When you master your emotions, you master your life
Anger. This is one emotion that is sure to pop up sometime during the day. How you deal with your anger says a lot about who you are as a person. How well do you manage your emotions? Do you have a harsh reaction if someone says something insulting to you? Anger can be a destructive emotion if not managed properly.

2) Respect other people’s opinions even when they differ from your own.

Conflict. It’s rare that two people agree on most topics. Conflict is everywhere. It happens at work, home, with family and friends. Disagreeing isn’t the problem (although most people think it is). The problem is not giving value to the opinions of others.

3) Experience The Joy Of Learning
Each time you learn something new you gain more knowledge and with more knowledge come more confidence. Learning helps us become more adaptable and flexible to new situations. Learning encourages us to be more creative and innovative in our thinking and we are therefore more comfortable with the unknown.
Reading books is a great way for us to learn. To fully embrace the joy of learning, never stop reading and searching for more knowledge.

4) Touch someone’s soul with your kindness
Random Acts of Kindness. It’s the little things in life that matter most. Hold a door, smile at people. Kindness does not cost much and it touches the soul of another person.

5) Speech is a powerful tool.
Your words. Watch your words carefully. They can be daggers or building blocks. You can crush the spirit of someone or make them feel like they can conquer the world. Taste your words before you spit them out. Words are your thoughts coming to life. It’s your choice.

What are your favorite quotes and wisdom to live by? I’d love to hear your thought on that.
Cheers,
Jonathan Gilbert
Hello Madam Judy,
hope that you are heathly fine and all what you are doing are going well too and i' am feel sorry because you will be feeling tired because of this long trip, days before i was knowing that from Tanzania to USA is just a short distance because from Tanzania to USA you have to use an aeroplane but that is not true it is long and it's too far three weeks!!!! i cann't believe my mind what it was thinking about.
As you said we have to study hard mathematics but on my side i like mathematics as my life is like is in my blood and even my result of mathematics i got division A+ but i cann't that mathematics is simple but is just working hard and solving many question.
And my promise to you is that i will go in RACHEL PLUS and i will study hard.

have a good day

Hello students,

I finally got back to the US last week.
It has been a very long trip to Tanzania this year total three weeks.

I was very happy to meet all of you and know everyone better.

My trip started from Karatu. I visited 5 schools in Karatu and I learn where do you go to school every day.

I am very happy to know all of you are doing well and every of you has a dream that you want to be successful one day. I encourage all of you to try your best to reach you own destination.

The get together was so well prepared and done by each of you. I am very happy to saw all your science presentations and poems you wrote to TSF and me. I will treasure them all my life.

I can say I am very proud to all of you. Keep up the good work I want to see each of you one day get to
good University/College to reach your own dream.

After Karatu, I went to ARUSHA attended the TED Global conference and visited couple schools in ARUSHA.
I enjoyed the TED conference this year. It was focused on the Africa, specially in agriculture, health and education.

Mr. Amos was a volunteer there, he had great experience being this Global conference and met people from around the world.
He had a life experience at the conference, where he was able to meet a group of bright inventive and talented group of people.

Later I went to Iringa. Iringa almost the second hometown for me. I have been there six times.
I visited all 8 schools in Iringa and meet all of you in person. I was very happy to meet you.

I had a great time at the get together party. All of you did a wonderful presentation. I am very happy to know all of you had fun that night.

My this year Tanzania trip was set MMM computer center for most of the 13 TSF schools.
At Iringa, We build total 5 new computer center in Iringa girls, Klerruu, Lugalo, Ebenezer, Miyomgoni and Update one MMM center at Ummusalama. We build one new computer center at Karatu Secondary School and update one MMM center at Ganako.

I am very proud of building the MMM computer center in most of the TSF schools. I really want all of you to go to the computer center to learn every subject you are interested from the RACHEL PLUS.
In the future everyone work will be on the computer. I hope that every single of you tell me what do you learn from the RACHEL PLUS.
I would like you could to start the debate team in your school so you all could practice how to speak in the public. Have the Math Club and challenge each other on the Math.

They will all benefit your long-term confidence.

I hope I will hear from all of you soon.
Hello Madam Judy,
How are you ? i think you are fine and you are doing well with what you are doing and by my side i' m fine and even my studies are going well too.
I would like to proceed with osmosis;is the movement of water molecules from a region of high concentration to the region of low concentration through a semipermeable membrane.A Partially-membrane is a membrane that allow small particles such as water molecules to pass through it,but not large particles such as sugar molecules and ion form salt.Example of semipermeable membrane are cell membrane and a pig's bladder, osmosis occurs when water moves down its concentration gradient across the semipermeable membrane. So osmosis can take place if there must be; two solution with different concentration and a partially permeable to separate them.
There is some differences between diffusion and diffusion and osmosis
1.diffusion can operate in any medium while osmosis operates only in a liquid medium.
2.diffusion of a substance is mostly dependent of the presence of other substances while osmosis is dependent upon the solute potential.
3.diffusion is not influenced by solute potential while osmosis is dependent upon the solute potential.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
