Hello Susan,

My name is Lydia, and I am so glad to have gotten connected with you. I live in Singapore, which is a very small country in Asia, and like you, I was born in 2004. I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your mother but I find it so inspirational that you want to work in medicine because of it. You seem like a very smart girl and I hope that you will be able to one day fulfill your dream of becoming a neurosurgeon.

I wanted to send my best wishes to you with the pandemic at the moment. I was wondering how the virus is where you are and if you are able to attend school at the moment because of it? My school had actually shut down in March, but we are back at school now.

I really admire your positivity and energy towards learning, I have no doubt that you will be able to achieve what you hope for in the future if you continue to work as hard as you are now,

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Lydia
