Chedline has suffered much pain in her life. Her grandmother raised her since infancy due to her mother's poor mental health. Chedline came from a severely impoverished life in Cap Haitian where she often went days without food. When her grandmother could no longer take care of her, Chedline was sent to Port-au-Prince to beg on the streets to survive. Despite her difficult past, Chedline continually displays a genuinely sweet disposition and enjoys life at MdL, especially with her little sister, Jefflina. She loves studying God's Word and worshiping her Savior with hands lifted high and with a loud, strong voice.
