About

Diomedes Carpintero is a poised and dynamic young man who admires his father's community leadership and ability to move forward and push others to reach their full potential. He aspires to be like his father, becoming a science teacher so that he can help others in his community of Hato Rincón to achieve their goals. Diomedes will be the first in his family to graduate high school and his greatest dream is to use this education to help his family. Diomedes' brother is in a wheelchair and one of his teachers states that she has "seen in him the desire to succeed to help his brother." The same teacher describes him as "very dedicated, hard-working, dynamic and enthusiastic, a leader and a team player. I think if you can help him financially, nothing will stop him."

HALLOW,
What's your tribe?
My vacation went well because I helped my dad with his work. I felt happy that I could to go to school and that God has given me another day to work, help my father, and study for my classes.
My favorite games are all of the games that I play, for example: soccer, baseball, basketball, and I practice soccer the most.

My early life was full of challenges. This forced me to start primary school when I was old, not because I wanted to but because my family was not aware of the importance of school. They did not even go to primary school. The income of my family is very low compared to others. They fail to pay for my school expenses and they depend just on a small farm that cannot sustain our school and home needs. Although there are some difficult situations I must struggle to overcome, I will pay back our society by passing examinations. This would be my happy moment.
