Hi. Thanks TSF and the wema community. My studies were interrupted by the covid 19 pandemic. The schools were forced to shut down since it was not safe for us to be in school. After the schools were reopened, it was so nice to be back in school. Due to your support, I am able to continue with my studies. Thanks for your support and may God grant you the favor and blessing to help many more.
My name is Sheila Wamalwa. I joined Highway Academy High School this year. I graduated from Highway Academy Primary School last year after passing my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Examination.

When I joined Highway, my life got so interesting compared to how it was in other schools. Students here are disciplined; furthermore, the teachers are enough to serve the needs of all of us, they teach us well and my results reflect their effort. My favorite subjects are Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

In future I would like to be a Doctor. I thank WEMA for granting me the chance to pursue my dream; I will prove myself worthy of your sacrifice. May the Almighty God bless The Wema Community.

Emmaculate is the last born in a family of three; one sister and one brother. Her parents rely on subsistence farming for livelihood, which has been greatly affected by the changing climate. While in primary school, Emmaculate spent most of the time at home while the other students were at school. This was because of lack of finances to cater for some of the requirements at school. This did not stop her but instead propelled her towards achieving her dream of becoming a cardiologist in order to save lives. Her role model is Barack Obama and she likes his phrase of ‘Yes we can’. Moreover, she likes reading story books during her free time.
