When the year started we thought that we would be able to finish our high school because it was our final year of high school. But due to Covid 19 our final term is scheduled for 2021.

I went home for the long break and life was not easy. Some of my classmates were able to continue their learning through online learning that was organized by the school but unfortunately my parent could not afford for the same so I did not access it.

I thank God because we are back in school. The school management is working hard to ensure all the measures that are outlined by the government for our safety. I am working hard for the oncoming exam, I promise to achieve good results in my final exam.

Thank you.
I would like to express my gratitude to the Wema community for the support I have received in the last academic year.

I have been enjoying my studies during this time with English, math, history and religious education being among my favorite subjects. My needs have been catered for by the community and it has been an enabling environment for study. Your support has validated my dream of being a lawyer in future and I aim for nothing less.

I enjoy reading fairy novels available in the school library during my free time. I also enjoy playing volleyball and football during my free time.

I am working hard towards my target of attaining a mean grade A by my end of term exams. I would like thank you for your support and pray that long may it continue as I would repay it one day by giving back to the less privileged in community. Thank you!

Fiona is the last born in a family of three. She lives with both her parents who are casual labourers. Her mother had a major surgery on her left hand in 2020. This made them sell part of their property to take care of the medical bills and thus reducing their income significantly and again making it very difficult for them to take care of the education bills of their children. Fiona drew her inspiration to pursue success from her Math teacher and she aspires to be a civil engineer to make contributions in the development of infrastructure in her village.
