About

Ashura is the sixth of seven children. She lost her mother in 2004 and her father in 2006. Since the death of her parents, Ashura has been living with her grandmother, who only makes a small living from selling Vitumbua (like the American donut). Because she could not afford primary school fees, Ashura was sometimes forced out of tuition classes, was scoled by teachers, and did not have a school uniform. Determined, Ashura continued school and with the help of TAFARE, finished her primary school exams with flying colors. Ashura hopes to go to university and study medicine to become a doctor.

Hi Ashura,
That is very nice that you helped your grandmother to make vitumbia to sell. I'm a little shy, so I think that selling something on the street might be a little frightening. Did you enjoy yourself? I hope that you are healthy and enjoying school and your vacation in June.

All the best,
Christi
Hi!
I thank ALLAH/God that I’m continuing well with studies.
He provides His strength, hearth and capabilities to understand what is taught by teachers
It is ok, and proud in Him.
Yours student,
Ashura
