About
Ashura is the sixth of seven children. She lost her mother in 2004 and her father in 2006. Since the death of her parents, Ashura has been living with her grandmother, who only makes a small living from selling Vitumbua (like the American donut).
Because she could not afford primary school fees, Ashura was sometimes forced out of tuition classes, was scoled by teachers, and did not have a school uniform. Determined, Ashura continued school and with the help of TAFARE, finished her primary school exams with flying colors.
Ashura hopes to go to university and study medicine to become a doctor.
