About

Class Rank: 7/65 The happiest moment of my life was when I started Form 1 and got good grades. The most difficult time for me was when I was busy helping my mother selling vegetables, I had very little time to do my study. My dream is to become a doctor, I will continue study hard to get there. I was very proud of myself when I passed my last primary level exam. I believe 4 years from now I will pass my last secondary level exam and proceed to higher advanced education.

Hi Students!

I just read all the journal entries I have received since October. Such wonderful letters! I am so impressed by how mature and articulate you have become. I’m realizing that I have now been reading some of your journals for 5 years. When I look at your photos, I don’t recognize the child I first knew. You are teenagers now.
I especially love the stories that some of you told in your journals. Moral tales, I call them.

So congratulations for working so hard. I’m hoping you will achieve your goals, go to a university if you want, and become productive members of your community, and able to help others as you have been helped.

I am enjoying retirement. My age of 76 is bringing on a bit of health problems, like arthritis, but I keep active physically and don’t let it stop me from doing what I love to do.

I read a lot. I travel. I go to jazz concerts in San Francisco. I would love to return to Kenya and Tanzania for a visit. I’d love to visit your school. Maybe it will happen. Who knows?

So keep up the great efforts. I know it can’t be easy, but this is such a wonderful opportunity.

Very fondly, Susan
Hello JONATHAN.I hope your fine and you are doing well in your activities. Today I want to inform you about holiday and my examination which I have done in this week from 13th to 16th and I expect to get good performance I was studying hard on past days. On my holiday I have different plans which I want to go to do in order to reach my dream such as I want to go to help my parents on their activities like in farm activities, a I want to go to finding materials such as books, past papers which will help me in my studies. Also in my holiday I will use a more time to study hard so as in my national examination to get good grade in order to reach my goal.
My friend I have plan that in next year to be busy and serious in studies because I will going to finish form four and doing National Examination which will make me to go on higher stage so I will make sure that I will not loose even a minute for doing none things which will kill my dream. In my last form examination I expect to get good division one.
Thanks have a nice day and I wish you happy new year and marry Christmas.

Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.
