About

Juliet was born the second of eight siblings. She dreamed of being a doctor until, at age 13, she became pregnant. She carried her baby to term, suffering injuries during the birth. She learned of a clinic in Eldoret that could help her. There, she found the medical help she needed and she was able to imagine going back to school. She continues to dream of becoming a doctor. Her parents are now caring for her child to allow Juliet to study. She has eagerly returned to school this year at the Pratrician School.

Hi, I am Siyan Juliet from Kenya.I want to thank the school fund for the support. My life has changed so much since I have been able to return to school. It's hard work and I promise to continue studying hard to attain good grades and to make you proud of me. Thank you beyond fistula and thank you for helping me even though you have not met me. I'm attaching a photo. Send me your photos too!
Hello, Juliet!

Have you been helped by the Gynocare Fistula Center in Eldoret? I bring recent high school graduates to visit the Center each year and perhaps have met you. One of the students, Leshan Dalton, recently volunteered with the literacy program which you may be attending. Let me know about your school and if you have any connection to the Fistula Center. I hope you are learning many things in school. Best wishes, Janet Heinonen
