Nelson is the last born child in a family of 10 children; two brothers and 7 sisters. His parents are peasant farmers with no means of supporting a big family and most important providing education. All his elder siblings were not able to get a good education. In 2015 Nelson sat for his KCPE exam and scored 361 marks and was the second top student at his school. Nelson wants to follow a different path from his elder siblings and make a career in his life. He believes that education is the key to success and he hopes to gain secondary education and study hard to become a mechanical engineer in the future.

Greetings friends,
Hope you are good and doing well. The holiday has been smart and now it has come to an end. During the vacation I have done a lot of revision in my studies and am now going back to school for my second term. I hereby thank you for your generous support unto my education.I am also grateful to the Almighty for the far He has brought us.

    Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.
