About

Poverty in early life taught me that education is the only instrument that can eliminate it. My dream for my life is to become a doctor. I will get there through working with teachers and students who have experience in science subjects, and by studying hard. I will make sure that improvement in studies take the first priority. I will work with other students and share ideas with them. I felt especially proud when I passed the Standard Seven national examination. Happiness in my life would be to succeed in my studies.

Hi Students!

I just read all the journal entries I have received since October. Such wonderful letters! I am so impressed by how mature and articulate you have become. I’m realizing that I have now been reading some of your journals for 5 years. When I look at your photos, I don’t recognize the child I first knew. You are teenagers now.
I especially love the stories that some of you told in your journals. Moral tales, I call them.

So congratulations for working so hard. I’m hoping you will achieve your goals, go to a university if you want, and become productive members of your community, and able to help others as you have been helped.

I am enjoying retirement. My age of 76 is bringing on a bit of health problems, like arthritis, but I keep active physically and don’t let it stop me from doing what I love to do.

I read a lot. I travel. I go to jazz concerts in San Francisco. I would love to return to Kenya and Tanzania for a visit. I’d love to visit your school. Maybe it will happen. Who knows?

So keep up the great efforts. I know it can’t be easy, but this is such a wonderful opportunity.

Very fondly, Susan
Hello Jenny,I am here by explaining about climate change.
What Is Climate?
Climate is the average weather of a place over many years. It includes average temperatures. It also includes average
precipitation. The timing of precipitation is part of climate as well. What determines the climate of a place? Latitude
is the main factor. A nearby ocean or mountain range can also play a role.
Latitude and Climate
Latitude is the distance north or south of the equator. It’s measured in degrees, from 0° to 90°. Several climate

    Kenya

Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.
