About

Alex is the second born child in a family of five. His eldest sister dropped out of school due to lack of money for school fees. Alex used to finish his household chores before sunset to utilize the light of the day to finish his homework since he lacked an oil lamp. His room for studying was the kitchen and in many times he would light a fire to complete his assignments. Although he didn't always have money to pay for the primary school fees his teacher knew he was bright and allowed Alex to remain in school. All these challenges did not pull Alex down but he worked hard and emerged the best in his school for KCPEE results.

Hello Alex!

You did such a wonderful job reading Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters on the KC Radio Read Aloud. You should be proud! When my children were little, they borrowed that book multiple times from our local library. I always loved reading it to them before they could read. Once they learned how to read, they borrowed it themselves. Congratulations on being selected to read. It's a big honor!

Have you been participating in the on-line classes at KC? Have they been helpful? Have you enjoyed the mentor series?

I hear that Form 4 students are heading back to school. Study hard and READ as much as you can. Did you know that students who read for FUN score higher on exams?

Let me know how school goes. Study hard, listen to your teachers and shoot for the stars!

Take care,
Sharon
