About

Lilian's father works as a sugarcane cutter. Her older brother is in High School and his school fees are pair by her uncle. The rest of Lilian's siblings are in primary school where her parents struggle to raise the fees required at the school. In Primary school Lilian had attendance problems as she was regularly sent home because she couldn't afford the fees She also regularly ate only one or two meals per day. Now she does not need to worry about being sent home or missing meals. The only thing that is on her mind is working hard so she can achieve the grade required to study medicine and become a doctor. "Wema can uplift the lowly and give them fair education field to make them someday be able to help more of the disadvantaged." -Lilian.

Thank you Wema TSF community for supporting my education.

Before we closed schools due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, we were doing well. I was working hard to ensure good results to enable me to get a university entry. At home I used to spend part of my time going through my books. I tried so much with the support from my parents though I did not gain so much as compared to when we are at school with teachers around. I was glad when the government announced school reopening for the candidates. I am working hard to achieve good results. I thank the management for taking good care us and providing us with a conducive environment for our learning.

Love.
In my years as student here at Highway Academy I have witnessed my life and that of other needy children impacted by the Wema Community, for this I say thank you. I also appreciate the Highway Academy fraternity for offering us a path to better life.

I am performing well in my exams and my progress is great. In last exam I managed to get a B+ and I hope to better this grade in the next examination.

During my free time, I like to read storybook and novels. I was more interested in novels of ‘The Dagon’ which talks more about endurance and courage. In school activities I always play volley ball and leg ball. This normally makes my body to remain fresh.

In future, I would like to be a doctor and I will ensure that I have made a contribution to this school. As I still learn here, I pray that let God help us as we study smart to better our lives in future.
