Hi

Thank you for supporting me on the school fund. My name is John. This year has been a challenging one for me. Life at home has been difficult and I have not been able to keep up with my studies. I am approaching the end of my high school studies and I would like to thank you for standing with me through my high school journey. God bless you a lot and I look forward to achieving my goals.
My Form One experience has been amazing; I have learnt how to use a computer and I currently know pretty much about computers. Many thanks to the Wema community for giving me an opportunity to study, unlike my experience in Primary school I need not worry about school fees and my basic needs since you take care of all this.

I scored an A- in my end of year exams a grade of which I'm determined to improve on by focusing on the subjects I'm weak in; agriculture and geography. I would like to be a lawyer in future as I feel strong in my humanities and language subjects (English and Kiswahili).

During my free time I like reading novels available in our school library. We participate in debates which help boost our Command of English, public speaking skills and presentation.

I like playing football during our games sessions.

Thank you for your continued support.

    Matata

    Kenya

Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.
