About

I am the second child in our family. The most difficult experience I had in my early life was when my mother got sick from high blood pressure. What I learned from it is that anybody can get sick. Everybody should take care of their health. My dream is to become a doctor of animals. I want to treat animals and stop people from killing animals. I can reach my goal by studying hard. Your support from school fund will help me accomplish my dream. My happiest moment was when I got the School Fund scholarship. It’s when I felt proud. Four years from now, I want to reach form 4 so that I can prove that the scholarship was not given for nothing. I want to help others accomplish their dreams.

Hi School Fund Students

Sorry it took me a while to write to you. For those of you who is receiving my journal the first time, let me introduce myself.

My name is Indy. I am currently living at the same town as Ms Judy. She and I went to high school together. I am so happy to have this opportunity to get to know you.

I used to work with computers for many many years. Do you like to use computers?

Yesterday I met with some of my old school friends for lunch. These are the friends I have for almost 50 years. We talked about our school days when we were 12 years old.
It brought many happy memories.

Do you enjoy your school? Now is the time to form good friendship with your classmates? What do you do with your classmates? Do you study together? Do you talk and share secrets? I know you have a lot of study to do. Hopefully you can find some time to do some fun stuff with your friends.

Please write back to let me know what interests you.

Until next time,
your friend,
Indy

Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.
