About

I am a student of form 5 at Lugalo Secondary School, taking CBG, chemistry, biology, and geography. My ambition is to be a laboratory officer. I can achieve my goal by working hard in my studies and cooperating well with my fellow students. My difficult experience is that my father was not able to pay for school fees and school needs like uniforms and exercise books. The moment when I felt proud of myself was when I selected to be sponsored by the School Fund. I was very happy. My happiest moment is when I passed in my form 4 national examination and got the chance to join form 5 at Lugalo Secondary School. Two years from now, I want to finish my advanced levels and go to University to learn to be a laboratory officer. Finally when I will reach my dreams, I would like to give back to the School Fund by helping other people because I think the School Fund is a source of achievement of dreams to students like me.

    Matata

    Kenya

Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.
