About

I wish all my dreams come true even though it is had to reach them. One of my dreams is to help other people who need special help, especially orphans and those whose lives are hard and poor. I also wish to help other girls who face problems that make them to fail reach their dreams. The most difficult experience in my early life was when my father and my mother divorced. It was hard for me to decide which one I should live with, my mother or my father. I did not know what was the right way. The situation made my performance at school drop. Then my dad took me and my siblings and he tried his best to provide good care for us and ensure that we got education. When I was selected for secondary school in Morogoro, my father didn’t have enough money for my school expenses. He talked with the headmistress so I could stay at school while he raised the money. The headmistress was very understanding. I completed my O-level education there and now I am in A-levels at Iringa Girls Secondary School. I am proud of myself when I do something that is appreciated by people and when I make someone happy.

Hi School fund students

How are you? How is school?

I enjoy reading your journal. I would love to learn about your life. You can write back to tell me about your family, like how many brothers and sister do you have? Do you have good friends? What do you do with your friends? Do you like music? Do you like to sing or dance? Do you like sports? What makes you happy? What do you do when you are out of school? What do you do to help your families? See, I have so many questions. Please write back to tell me your stories.

Thank you and hope you have a new school year.

Regards,
Indy

Fiona is the last born in a family of three. She lives with both her parents who are casual labourers. Her mother had a major surgery on her left hand in 2020. This made them sell part of their property to take care of the medical bills and thus reducing their income significantly and again making it very difficult for them to take care of the education bills of their children. Fiona drew her inspiration to pursue success from her Math teacher and she aspires to be a civil engineer to make contributions in the development of infrastructure in her village.
