About

Bravin is a child who has gone through many challenges. As an orphan and living with his grandmother in the slums, Bravin could not withstand sleeping hungry for days and he ended up in the streets foraging for food in the dustbins. In the streets he was introduced to drugs by other street boys. It was while in streets a good Samaritan took him to a rehabilitation center where he changed and was enrolled back to school. Bravin is the third-born child in a family of eight. He actually doesn’t know where most of his siblings are currently. He is currently living with his cousin who is jobless. Though faced with many challenges, Bravin has kept his focus. He managed to be the best student in his school. His goal is to become a neuro-surgeon in the future. He believes that education is the key to success.

Hello friends and donors,
We were not able to do our examination due to some unavoidable reasons of this pandemic called corona virus.I am working extra hard to make sure that I achieve my goal.Am looking forward towards becoming a neurosurgeon.I want to thank all those who are supporting me academically, emotionally and physically.I thank you more than a million times.May the High Living God give you strength and long life to continue supporting me and others for there are many needy children out there.

If it were not for you,I don't think if I could have gone to a national school or even high school.I am undergoing through a difficulty time since I am living with my uncle currently. Although I meet challenges as he is not employed, I know challenges are normal in this world. I hope that one day one time I will succeed in life. I have decided to shoot for the moon and if I will not land on the moon I will land on the stars for everyone aspires to become a star.

May God bless you all for your support.I salute you all.Thank you

It was 2009 when I started standard 1. I was very happy to start primary level. When my mother died, it was really painful to me. It is a gap which will never be filled in my heart. After the funeral, I continued my studies. I am thankful I completed the term and passed the exam to standard 2. When I was in class 2, my father was my hope but after my mother's death, he changed and did not take care of me. Instead I was raised by my relatives. In 2010, my father died too and I have lived with my grandmother ever since. I was my parents' only child. Because of these challenges, I have learned that education is the best of all worldly things, better than money which gets used up. Education is the best heritage. I will never give up the chance for education. I really appreciate being selected as a scholarship beneficiary of The School Fund. I will work hard, very hard, to achieve my dream and help less fortunate people

My dream is to become an accountant and I will get there by studying hard. The moment that I felt proud of myself is when I learned that I passed the Standard 7 National Exams. The happiest moment in my life is when I was selected by the Ebenezer Seminary for my secondary school education. The most difficult experience I had is the death of my my best friend. He died of malaria. Malaria is a disease that can be treated. My friend could be alive if he got proper medical treatment. I learn from his death that we need to help our poor friends with their basic needs. I plan to help the orphans to make sure they can reach their dreams as I will. I will also contribute some of my salary to help the disabled people after my dream comes true.

Carmen is one of our most dedicated students. She attends all of our events and meetings, and is eager to begin her studies. After graduating high school, she worked as a waitress in Puka Rumi, one of the best restaurants in town. Here, under the mentorship of renowned chef Alejo, she fell in love with the art of cooking and hopes to someday open her own restaurant. In her spare time, she is an athlete. Her favourite sport is volleyball, and she was the only female to compete in last year's Ollantaytambo weightlifting competition! She comes from a humble campesino (rural indigenous) family. Since her father passed away 16 years ago, she and her nine siblings have since been raised by her single mother.
