This year has been an exciting journey as I advance in my studies at Wema Children's Centre. I have deepened my knowledge in environmental science, which is my passion. I recently participated in a tree-planting initiative at school, and it felt great to contribute to protecting our planet. Your support has been my motivation, and I am determined to work even harder. Thank you!
Hello, I’m Simon Abala, a Form 3 student at Wema Children's Centre. I am incredibly thankful for your support, which allows me to attend school and pursue my dreams. The school provides a wonderful environment for learning and personal growth. I am passionate about the environment and hope to become an environmental scientist in the future to help protect our planet. Your kindness inspires me to work hard every day. Thank you!

    Matata

    Kenya

Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.
